Mature applicants may be required to apply:

  • Directly to a HEI and/or
  • Through the CAO system.
  1. CAO applications must be made before February 1st for entry into college the following September.  
  2. Some HEIs will consider applications received after February 1st but you should contact the HEI to ensure they do before submitting an application.
  3. Mature applications for nursing/midwifery and some restricted courses will not be accepted after February 1st.
  4. March/April is usually the months where interviews and portfolio presentations take place but it depends on the HEI.
